Privacy Policy
Last updated 23 August 2026
The short version
Kusog does not collect anything about you. There is no account, no server and no analytics. Everything you log stays on your iPhone.
What Kusog stores, and where
Your workouts, routines, custom exercises and settings are saved in a database on your device. They are never transmitted anywhere. Nobody, including the developer, can see them.
If you have iCloud Backup switched on, your device backup may include Kusog's data, the same as any other app. That backup is between you and Apple, and is governed by Apple's privacy policy rather than this one.
Apple Health
Kusog can write your finished workouts to Apple Health as strength-training sessions, so they count toward your Activity rings. It can also read your most recent body weight, used only to make the estimated calorie figure on a saved workout more accurate.
Both are optional. Kusog asks before it touches Health, you can refuse or revoke access at any time in the Health app, and every feature keeps working if you do. Health data is read and written on your device only. It is never sent anywhere, and never used for anything other than the two purposes above.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, Kusog uses them for one thing: telling you your rest timer has finished. They are scheduled locally on your device. No push server is involved.
What Kusog does not do
- No accounts, sign-ups or logins
- No analytics, telemetry, crash reporting or advertising SDKs
- No tracking across apps or websites
- No data sold, shared or disclosed to anyone
- No third-party services of any kind
Kusog contains no networking code. It does not connect to the internet.
Children
Kusog is suitable for all ages and collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
Deleting your data
Deleting the app removes everything Kusog has stored. You can also clear your logged workouts from inside the app: Settings → Delete all workout history. Workouts already written to Apple Health are managed in the Health app, since they belong to Health once saved.
Exercise data
Kusog's exercise catalogue is derived from free-exercise-db, released into the public domain under the Unlicense. It is bundled with the app and read locally. The dataset's photographs are not included.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and the updated version is published at this address.
